Spatial Technologies

GeoQuEST will lead University of Wollongong initiatives to apply cutting-edge Spatial Technologies to a range of research questions, working at scales from the local to the global.

Spatial Technologies have long been an important part of the GeoQuEST toolkit, with Remote Sensing and/or Geographic Information Systems now used by many of our HDR students as part of their thesis research.

The time is now ripe to bring these to the foreground of our research strength. This will provide opportunities for GeoQuEST members to provide campus-wide leadership in the application of spatial concepts and spatial tools to a range of research questions.
