Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry LabIntroductionThe Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry Laboratory (BMSL) is a part of the Centre for Biomolecular Science and Centre for Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology. BMSL includes research groups led by Dr Jennifer Beck and Dr Stephen Blanksby, studying diverse topics such as apoptosis (programmed cell death), the mechanism of cataract formation, proteins invovled in the HIV entry complex, degradation mechanisms in polymer coatings, observation of lipids in cell membranes, fundemental investigations of radicals in the gas phase, and interactions between DNA, drugs and metals.
