University Scholarship A Success
Local student Sharon Payne of North Nowra recently completed her Chemistry Scholarship training with Nowra Chemicals. The scholarship was set up between the University of Wollongong and the company to assist locally based students gain paid work experience in the local area.
Over the past 12 weeks Sharon has experienced and learnt what it means to take her class room knowledge to the work place. Nowra Chemicals provided a unique mix of tasks and testing which included not only Quality control work but some development work into the company’s new range of environmental cleaning products, made from sustainable raw materials.
Sharon hopes the Scholarship will lead to future employment with the Shoalhaven area where she lives with her family.
