Information on what is involved in an Honours year was provided as well as an opportunity to speak to individual academics about projects |

Careers in Chemistry RACI Night Speakers included: Bianca Ertl (Development Chemist, BP Castrol, Dr Michael Evtushenko (Business Development Manager, Kelly Scientific Resources), Dr Michael Moawad ( Analytical Chemist, National Measurement Institute), Jennifer Van Holst (Centre for Petroleum Research, CSIRO) Dr Evushenko will gave an overview of the current chemistry job market. Our other speakers talked briefly about their training and career paths and gave their advice about getting the job of your choice. The meeting was open to questions from the audience at the end of the program.

The Chemsoc Barbeque was for all ChemSoc members. ChemSoc is a social network of undergraduate and postgraduate chemistry students and those affilitated with the Uow Chemistry who join the Chemical Socitey. Yearly membership is $10 for students for the year and $15 for Non-Uow students. ChemSoc holds several activities throughout the year culminating in an annual dinner towards the end og the year.
