Searching for Unusual Behaviour in Asymetric Reactions.
Discussion of the occurrence of Nonlinear Effects (NLEs) in catalytic, asymmetric reactions, where the product of a reaction can exhibit an enantiomeric excess higher than any of the inputs. Early progress towards a predictive model for NLEs described. Recent results in monitoring organocatalytic, asymmetric reactions in situ presented.
