Careers in Biology

Study of one of the many Bioscience disiplines at the University opens up a whole world of careers, many of which are addressing some of the most fundamental and pressing issues currently confronting the world.

Food production, disease control, drug design, sports science and conservation are just some of the areas that need scientists from both the traditional (Physiology, Biochemistry and Cell Biology) and the 'New Frontier' (Biotechnology, Genomics, Meabolomics and Protenomics) disciplines, to solve the many vital and fascinating problems, that the modern world throws at us.

Careers in these areas need capable individuals with a sound practical scientific background, such as provided by a degree in the Biological Sciences.

The School of Biological Sciences is a small friendly department, that provides a world class education with the opportunity for students to engage in practical research projects in their undergraduate career.
