The Biology Prize

$300 awarded to the Bachelor of Science student (doing a biology major) with the best performance in the biology subjects of the course.

The Jim Campbell Honours Prize

$200 awarded to the biology honours student (BSc or BBiotech) who performs best in the overall mark and grade for their honours year.

The Challenge Prize

$300 book voucher prize awarded to the studet who has the highest mark in the challenge exam, enrols in a science degree and has a UAI score of 85 or more.

Annual Faculty Awards

The Alumni Prize

$300 book voucher prize awarded to the student enrolled in Honours (including those enrolled in a 1 year hons degree, the final year of a 4 year degree or the fianl year of an approved double degree) who performed best in their undergraduate science subjects.

Conference Awards

2004 - Donnah Hay for Best Oral Presentation in Entomology at the 17th International Symposium on the Forensic Sciences, Wellington NZ.

Other Awards

1995 - Darren Saunders won the St George Bank Youth Endeavour Award

1999 - Melinda Pick-up The Alan sefton Memorial Prize

2001 & 2001 - Kirsten Benkendorf won Australian of the Year

2003 - Leigh Nelson was awarded a Summer scholarship by The Genetics Society of Australia worth $2000 (only 10 awarded nationally).

2004 - Rachel Przeslawski won the "British Council and New Scientist Australian Science Writing Competition" and went on to represent Young Australian Sciencists at the Edinburgh Science Festival.
