CareerLeader is an online self career development tool. The tool can assist students to identify careers most likely to bring them success and what actions to take to work towards their career goals. Sydney Business School offer this tool to students free of charge.

Certificate in Professional Development

The Certificate in Professional Development is specially designed for post graduate business students. This program is free and recommended for all full-time Sydney Business School students, both in Wollongong and Sydney. The program will assist you to:

• Develop presentation and public speaking skills.
• Understand the Australian job search process and how best to research for and obtain employment in Australia.
• Respond to job advertisements.
• Prepare a curriculum vitae.
• Develop interview techniques.
• Appreciate the business culture in Australia and multi -national firms.
• Further develop professional English language skills.

Industry Related projects

Some of the school’s programs provide an option for students to undertake an industry project. This project introduces students to an organisation and together with nominated managers and academic support, provides the opportunity to investigate a real business problem as part of their program of study. The resulting project is often an important part of a student’s portfolio when applying for the next position in their career.

Career Central 

In addition to the school's own in-house program for career advancement, you are encouraged to also take up the various opportunities offered by the University of Wollongong's Career Service Centre on the main campus.
