Turnitin
Turnitin is an internet based program that identifies where students have copied in part or in full, other writers work, including information published on the internet. In addition, Turnitin allows students to check their own writing and ensure that they are using correct referencing, paraphrasing, and quoting techniques.
All assignments submitted to the Sydney Business School must be accompanied by a Turnitin Originality Report. Students should lodge their assignments on the Turnitin website www.turnitin.com as early as possible, to review feedback and address issues identified by Turnitin.
Students have the opportunity to resubmit their corrected assignment a number of times before the due date, using the review process. New students should attend the Turnitin workshop as part of Orientation. For assistance using Turnitin and understanding Originality reports, students should see their lecturer or the SBS Librarian. Class ID and class enrolment passwords for Turnitin will be listed in each subject outline.
