Town and Gown 2008

The Graduate School of Business (GSB) held its annual Town and Gown function at the Wollongong Golf Club on Thursday, 20 November.

This year’s invited speakers were Brett Stibners and Brendan Dowler, members of the Gold Medal winning 2008 Paralympic Wheelchair Basketball Team.

Brett Stibners and Brendan Dowler are two of the Illawarra members of the Australian Men's Wheelchair Basketball team (nicknames the 'Rollers'). The team recently won gold at the Beijing Paralympics, beating defending champions Canada in a nail biting match. 

The address was well received by attendees from local business, the Illawarra Business Chamber, staff and students of the GSB and the University community
