Dr Rodgers-Healey: Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning

Sydney Business School Lecturer, Dr Diann Rodgers-Healey received the Vice Chancellor's 2011 faculty award for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning (OCTAL). Octal is awarded each year to an academic member of staff who has made a major contribution to teaching and learning excellence within the University of Wollongong.

Women in leadership is one theme in which Dr Rodgers-Healey has a special interest. Diann's PhD thesis led to the development of a co-existential leadership model for workplaces for men and women. Diann is also the Executive Director of the Australian Centre for Leadership for Women, a virtual Centre which she founded in 2000. Through the Centre, she has established national leadership awards for women and organisations, contributed to federal policy development and published research reports on gender and leadership issues in politics, education and in the corporate sector. In 2009 she was awarded The World of Difference 100 Award from The International Alliance of Women (TIAW) in Toronto, Canada.

On behalf of the Sydney Business School - Congratulations Diann.
