The University of Wollongong is proud to present Uni in the Brewery for 2005. Our first session for the year is in association with Biotechnology Week.

Professor Mark Wilson Professor Wilson will speak about his research area of Proteins and the health implications when they begin to drop out of solution in your body, possibly causing diseases such as Alzhiemers and Mad Cow Disease. |

Professor Julie Steele Professor Steele will also present some of her work on the Intelligent Knee Sleeve and discuss how this has been used in training athletes to land without injury and how the prototype is being refined for use by knee replacement patients during their rehabilitation. |
Interactive Session: We will also run an interactive session for people who would like to see how the Knee Sleeve works.
Special Guest -Leanne Grogan (Illawarra manager for the Department of State and Regional Development) will introduce our speakers and also outline the areas of State Government assistance for Biotechnology companies.
