For EVERY conference paper submitted, please supply photocopies of pages showing:
conference title & date of conf, venue, city/country
publication and/or copyright dates of proceedings
volume and issue no.
contents page
additional bibliographic info. e.g. ISBN, author(s), editor(s), publisher dates
Published in 2007 as defined in 1.3.14 of DEST guidelines (volume of proceedings, book, journal, monograph, CD ROM, organisational web site)
Please supply photocopy evidence indicating that the proceedings were published, which may include any of the following:
publication date
cost associated with purchase of publication
ISSN/ISBN assigned to item
URL of conference website containing complete Papers
Evidence indicating research undertaken in author's capacity as a staff member or student of the university.
Type of evidence to look for:
Author's name with a by-line, within or on work being claimed, indicating association with the UOW
Where author affiliation to UOW is absent, provide:
A statement from the author indicating that they undertook the research leading to the publication in their capacity as a staff or student of UOW
AND, one of the following:
A statement from Personnel indicating author was an appointee or student of the university in 2007 (or earlier if that was when the research leading to publication was conducted) OR
use the Staff Directory or SMP Database to print off status & attach as evidence
Note: Advice by email would be sufficient
Conference of international or national significance
Evidence that the conference is of international or national significance may include:
introductory statement in proceedings outlining the scope of the conference, or range of people who attended the conference; or
evidence that conference is held on regular basis (eg annual, biennial)
Peer reviewed as per section 1.3.7 of DEST guidelines
Sources of evidence include hardcopies of one of the following:
a statement in the proceedings indicating papers are peer reviewed
a copy of a reviewer's assessment relating to the paper
a statement from the conference website indicating that papers are peer reviewed
Please supply photocopies of evidence for each paper.
Proof of keynote status (if applicable)
Type of evidence to look for here includes:
Invitation for someone to be the keynote speaker at conference
