Carrick GrantsThe Carrick Institute, named after Sir John Carrick KCMG the Commonwealth Minister for Education from 1975-79, was launched in August 2004. The institute is dedicated to promoting better quality learning and teaching in Australian higher education. The Institute has $9.4 M to dedicate to three funding streams Leadership, Competitive Grants and Priority Projects in 2008. This is an exciting opportunity to develop learning and teaching skills across all UoW faculties and also promote greater collaboration of teaching resources and experiences between UoW and other higher education institutions. The Research Services Office and CEDIR are working together to assist interested applicants to make the most of this exciting opportunity. Priority Projects Program>
External Grant Submission Form The Priority Projects Program assists projects that help develop the Carrick Institute’s designated responsibilities such as benchmarking, assessment, standards and related aspects of good practice in learning and teaching. These grants focus on good practice in higher education that promotes creative and effective use of teaching and learning spaces, and collaborative, cross-institutional projects that examine the role of peer review in learning and teaching. Applicants for funding under this scheme should familiarise themselves with wider context of all the Carrick initiatives and funding guidelines. For assistance with the Carrick Priority Projects program contact Janine McFarlane, Carrick Grants Officer on ext. 5809
