Guidelines for Examiners

• All examiners are sent copies of the Guidelines for Examiners when they receive a thesis for examination.
• Examiners are requested to fill in an Examination Form indicating their recommendation for the award of the degree.
• Copies of these documents have been placed on the web-site for the information of students and supervisors.

Time Frame

It normally takes at least three to six months following receipt of the thesis for a recommendation regarding the award of the degree to be finalised, particularly in cases where a thesis is forwarded overseas for examination.
