ARC PhD scholarships in ontology-based reuse
Two PhD scholarships (worth approximately AUD $20,000 per annum tax-free), funded by an Australian Research Council Discovery Grant, are available at the University of Wollongong, at the Decision Systems Lab Research Centre at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, and The Centre of Information System and Technology Research at the School of Information Systems and Technology.
The ARC-funded project seeks to define ontology-based agent oriented development methodologies. The appointees will be supervised by Professor Aditya Ghose and Dr. Ghassan Beydoun respectively, and will have co-supervision arrangements with the other chief investigators on the ARC project – Professors Graham Low (UNSW) and Brian Henderson-Sellers (UTS).

Health information systems in residential aged care sector.
Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry)
A scholarship for an Australian Research Council Industry Linkage project to investigate factors related to the implementation of health information systems in residential aged care sector. A series of longitudinal studies will be conducted to develop an Information Systems Success Model to measure the benefits of computerized documentation in residential aged care with five industry partners from three states. The longitudinal research will advance current understanding of post adoption behaviour in a novel setting. The project will benefit decision makers in government, residential aged-care providers and information technology vendors in taking decisions to invest in information technology in the residential aged-care sector.
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents, and hold relevant research-based degree in human sciences / or informatics / or social sciences / or management / or education. Career professionals interested in returning to higher degree studies are particularly encouraged to apply.
Stipend: $26,140 tax free

Payment Information: The value of this scholarship is AUD$26140 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid for the period of 3 years.
Research Information: This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: health informatics, IT technology adoption in aged care, health technology assessment.
Eligibility: This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or permanent residents can apply.
