Fees, Charges and HECSThe University collects compulsory service fees to provide a number of services for all students. These fees entitle you to become a member of the Wollongong UniCentre Ltd, the University of Wollongong Recreation and Aquatic Centre (URAC) and the Wollongong University Postgraduate Association (WUPA). Life MembershipStudents who have paid six (6) full years of Student Body Fees may be eligible for Life Membership to the UniCentre and URAC. Life membership entitles you to significant reductions in the Study Body Fee. Full-time members of staff of the University are also entitled to a reduction in the Study Body Fee. Research Training Scheme (RTS)—Domestic Students ONLYAll postgraduate research students who are Australian citizens and permanent residents and who remain within the course completion time limits, are allocated an RTS place and are therefore exempt from tuition fees for the duration of their degree. International Student Tuition Fee—International Students ONLYInternational students are required to pay their tuition fee prior to enrolment.
