Human Research Ethics Training
Please note that this training module is under development and has reached the testing stage. Only staff and students of the University of Wollongong are currently able to access the assessment part of the module. Human Research Ethics Committees review applications for compliance with Australian guidelines on ethical research. The purpose of this is to promote a research culture which respects the rights and welfare of research participants.
The training modules and materials below are designed to assist researchers and Ethics Committee members in understanding the principles underlying ethical research.
- Research Ethics Online Module – this module explores the principles of ethical research as presented in the NHMRC National Statement on the Ethical Conduct of Human Research through examination of case studies.

- Research Ethics Training for social sciences – Macquarie University has produced an open access module suitable for undergraduates.
