Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) – Staff Eligibility Self-Assessment

The following questions will assist in identifying if you are involved in the ERA initiative for 2010. Please take a minute to complete this self-assessment to make an informed decision.

1. Are you an employee of the University of Wollongong or one of its controlled entities and were working in a full-time, fractional-time or casual capacity on 31 March 2009?

Yes – go to question 2. No – go to question 5.

2. Are you an academic staff member?

Yes – go to question 3. No – go to question 4.

3. Are you involved in research activities?

Yes – go to question 7. No – go to question 4.

4. Are you a member of staff in a teaching only position, general staff or casual position and have research output in form of publications or creative works in the time period of 1 January 2003 to 31 December 2008?

Yes – go to question 7. No – go to question 8.

5. Are you an honorary, emeritus or adjunct professor, a visiting fellow or seconded from another institution and were affiliated with the University of Wollongong on 31 March 2009?

Yes – go to question 6. No – go to question 8.

6. Do you have a publications association with the University of Wollongong in form of a co-authorship or having the University in the byline of your publications output?

Yes – go to question 7. No – go to question 8.

7. You are eligible for involvement in ERA. ERA Explained in 30 Minutes is an information session containing an overview of ERA, data collection and how you get involved. This is available at https://intranet.uow.edu.au/raid/era/resources/index.html

8. Thank you for your time. You are not involved with ERA in 2010.
