Mouse Models

A mouse model is a laboratory mouse useful for medical research because it has certain characteristics that resemble a human disease or disorder. A patent on a mouse model is not particularly necessary for commercialisation. Industry may be interested in licensing the mouse model “know how” because this provides a way for them to save the money (and time) required to develop the mouse model themselves.

If you have a mouse model that you think may have commercial value, please contact the Manager of Innovation and Commercialisation for your Faculty.
