Accessing UOW Expertise and Equipment
There are several ways that industry, business and the community can access UOW expertise and equipment:
- UOW staff can contract out their time to undertake collaborative or contract research. If you are unsure if UOW has the expertise or capabilities that you are interested in accessing, you may like to start with a search of our commercial research capabilities database.
- UOW and industry can jointly apply for Government grants.
- Industry can offer work experience to undergraduate students.
- Industry can offer scholarships for research students to work on a particular project or to help an undergraduate student to fund their studies.
- UOW staff can contract out their time to act as consultants to operate specific equipment to analyse samples or do testing. If you are unsure if UOW has the expertise or capabilities that you are interested in accessing, you may like to start with a search of our commercial research capabilities database.
- Industry can recruit UOW graduates.
- UOW staff sometimes run specialist training courses tailored to industry requirements (e.g. Corporate Training and Development).
