Student Equity and Diversity Liaison Officers
The Student Equity and Diversity Liaison Officers (SEDLOs) provide liaison, information, support and referral to University of Wollongong students. As well as provision of programs supporting student equity and diversity both within faculties and across campus.
International Friendship Program (IFP)
The International Friendship Program (IFP) is coordinated by the International Advisers and promotes cultural exchange between members of the Wollongong community and individual international students. Interested students can be linked to a "friend" or "host" and they arrange to meet occasionally for a meal or an outing. This helps students learn first-hand about the Australian lifestyle. It also helps the local community to learn about the cultures of our students from around the world. Applications for the International Friendship Program are sent to new students when all conditions of their offer have been satisfied.
Illawarra Committee for International Students (ICIS)
The ICIS organises outings to places of interest in New South Wales. It also provides a regular newsletter to inform students about current news and activities. ICIS organises a support service for wives/husbands who are living in Australia while their partner studies at the University through the International Partners' Group.
