The Centre provides for equity of access, participation and outcome and encourages links with the local Aboriginal community. The Centre also teaches Aboriginal Studies subjects, and offers access to an extensive Aboriginal resource collection.

A suite of workplace learning programs that help to increase employability is available to students throughout their degree. ChaplaincyThe University's Chaplaincy Service offers fellowship, personal counselling and guidance, leadership in biblical and doctrinal studies and in worship. Visiting chaplains maintain close relations with religious societies. Pastoral care is offered on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

LibraryThe University Library is a gateway to a comprehensive range of print and electronic information. Resources include: electronic journals, index and abstracting services, links to subject-based resources throughout the world, standards and statistical information and the library catalogue. With a student ID card and a current University email account, you can access quality electronic information resources via the Library's website 24 hours a day from home or university. SEDLOsSEDLOs (Student Equity and Diversity Liaison Officers) look after the welfare and equity of all students, and provide information and referral to an appropriate service for assistance. They can provide information on a wide range of issues including personal and financial matters, academic concerns, legal issues, accidents, family worries or emergencies. SEDLOs also provide support for students with disabilities within each faculty on advice from the Disability Liaison Officers. SEDLOs are located within the faculties.

Sport & RecreationThe University Recreation and Aquatic Centre (URAC) offers world-class facilities for a wide range of sport and recreational activities. Facilities include playing fields, all-weather outdoor playing surfaces, a 50 metre heated swimming pool and tennis courts. The newly renovated recreation centre houses a fully equipped gymnasium, squash courts, basketball courts, sports store and café. Activities offered include fitness classes, leisure and outdoor activities, learn-to-swim classes and a social sports competition. There are 24 social sport clubs ranging from rugby to rock climbing.

Student Computer Resource CentreInformation Technology Services (ITS) provides many services including training; user-guides; and the Student Computer Resource Centre, which consists of nine computer laboratories. Students have access to email, the Internet, applications software and laser printers. In addition to these services, the teaching laboratories contain special purpose software for tutorials run by individual departments. Staff can assist you with laboratory equipment, software and to access on-line training.
