As a self-accrediting body, the University is responsible for managing the quality of its academic programs and services. Reviewing progress towards achieving University and unit objectives, and identifying areas for improvement, are vital steps in ensuring that we deliver quality programs and services. Regular review processes in place at the University include the following:

STRATEGIC
UOW Strategic Plan	Annual review of performance under Goals (based on reviews against Management Plan indicators and targets) Every three years, full review of the University Strategic Plan
Strategic Projects	Twice yearly review of progress
UOW Campus and Site Plans	UOWD: Annual review of performance under Goals Every three years, full review of Plan Shoalhaven Campus and education Centres: Annual review of performance and update of targets and actions Every three years, full review of Plans
OPERATIONAL
Management Plans	Annual review of performance and update of targets and actions
Support Plans (e.g. - eLearning, Social Inclusion)	Annual review of performance and update of targets and actions linked to Management Plan reviews
Faculty Plans	Annual performance reports linking to Management Plan reviews
Unit Plans	Annual performance reports linking to Management Plan reviews
Major Committees	Annual review of progress against terms of reference and action plans linking to Management Plan reviews
ACADEMIC QUALITY
University Policies	Every three to five years, or as required
Courses	As required for professional accreditation purposes; Approximately every five years under the Curriculum Review Guidelines
Subjects	On an ongoing basis to manage changes in disciplinary focus and the nature of the demand. Ongoing informal review by subject coordinators; Formal review by unit approximately every five years under the Subject Evaluation Guidelines
Academic Risk	Annual assessment and report to University Planning & Quality (UPAQ) Committee, Quality Assurance Subcommittee (QAS), University Education Committee (UEC), Academic Senate
National Protocols	Annual review and report to UPAQ
Quality Improvement Plan	Twice yearly review of progress and report to QAS, UPAQ, Academic Senate and University Council
