Quality and Planning
The four steps of the continuous improvement cycle - Plan, Act, Review, Improve are integrated in our planning both at a University-wide and faculty level.
1. Planning The University Strategic Plan sets the overarching planning goals which are realised through the objectives and strategies of a number of supporting plans, including:
- operational plans, for example, Faculty and Professional Unit plans. The reporting structure in Faculty plans directly relates to the objectives in each of the goal areas, thus linking each level of University planning.
2. Acting The University Strategic Plan is implemented through annual action plans, which are developed and monitored by key committees University Research Committee, University Education Committee, University Internationalisation Committee and Community Engagement Committee and by faculties and other units.
3. Reviewing Progress towards achieving the objectives in our plan is reviewed annually. The plan is also reviewed regularly, according to a formal review timetable. Faculty Plans are rolling but are reviewed annually.
4. Improving The review process is designed to identify changes that need to be made to our plans, activities, policies, processes or procedures in order to improve our outcomes. Check the following links for further information on:
