Where to Park

The major Car Parks on Campus are numbered P1 to P8 and are divided into different categories:

Types of Parking

Short-term Parking Station parking (P1, P6)
Pay & Display parking (P3 north, P4, P7 west, P8 south)
Carpool parking (P4 north)
Permit parking
Reserved parking
Disabled parking

The first two of these categories are known as Ticket parking. These are available to students and visitors.
Carpool parking is available to any car which has brought 3 or more people to the Uni.
Permit and reserved parking is limited to staff.

Parking for Motorcycles is available by permit in special parking bays in P1, P2, P5a and P7, or in the parking stations at normal ticket prices

Availability

Ticket parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in signposted spaces. You can park for free in the Short-term Parking Stations for 30 minutes – fees then apply.
Permit parking is available for staff, but spaces are not guaranteed.

Spaces are limited and in high demand, so avoid delays and catch the free shuttle bus, or travel by public transport or bike – it's easier and greener.

Tickets & Permits

Any vehicle parked on the Wollongong Campus must display a valid parking ticket or permit. Ticket holders may only park in designated ticket bays. UOW Entry Permit holders may only park in designated permit bays. Fees apply.

Pay & Display

Ticketed parking is available 8:30am - 6:30pm, Monday - Friday in:

P8 - UniCentre Car Park in signposted bays
P4 - Western Car Park
P3 - South-Western Car Park in signposted bays
P5 - Northern Car Park (2P - two-hour parking in Permit Bays after 4pm)
P7 - Ovals Car Park (2P - two-hour parking, and extra 2P in Permit Bays after 4pm)

Free Carpool Parking

Make the most of your car, save on travel and reduce your carbon emissions. If you carpool with three or more people, you'll get free parking in the Western Car Park – from 7:30 am Monday-Friday, subject to availability.

Reserved Parking Bays

Only authorised Reserved Permit holders can park in a reserved bay. Fees apply for ticket bays and the Short-term Parking Station. A fine may be issued to Reserved Permit holders who breach these rules.

Short-term Parking

Short-term parking is available in the Parking Station, Level E, Multi-storey Car Park. Fees apply.

Disabled Parking

RTA Mobility Permits are valid in marked disabled bays, and UOW permit and ticketed car parks. No fees apply.

NRMA Meeting Points

In the event of a breakdown, proceed to one of five roadside assistance meeting places. Phone the NRMA on the security telephone and quote the identification number on the sign at the meeting place.
