Visitors should consider using public transport before driving a car to campus, such as:
Visitors should consider using public transport before driving a car to campus, such as:
- Park and Ride to the nearest Railway Station catch a train to North Wollongong and catch the FREE shuttle bus to Wollongong Campus.
- FREE Wollongong CBD Shuttle Bus. The State Government initiative started in 2009 linking UOW to a number of locations around Wollongong CBD. Buses will travel in both directions around the following route:
- Main Campus
- TAFE
- North Wollongong Station/International House
- Weerona College
- Wollongong Hospital
- Wollongong Station
- Central Business District
- North Wollongong Beach
- Innovation Campus
- Campus East
- Main Campus
Service runs 7.00am to 10.00pm weekdays and 8.00am to 6.00pm on weekends. Weekday services will operate every 10 minutes in the morning and afternoon peaks, and every 20 minutes in the middle of the day and evenings. Weekend services will operate every 30 minutes.

| If the Faculty or Unit has a visitor, parking may be organised in one of the following ways: |
- Carplooling "Free 4 Three" - Arrive at the Western Carpark Parking Station between 8.00am and 3.00pm with a minimum of 3 occupants in the vehicle, for FREE all-day parking.
- Allow visitor to park in the Department's reserved parking space
- Provide visitor with a pre-purchased Visitor Scratch & Display entry permit (available from Financial Services Division). This entitles the visitor to park in a UOW permit parking area or a ticket bay during the day of issue. This permit could be posted to the visitor in anticipation of their visit
- Direct the visitor to the Short-term Parking Station.
- A visitor could use any Pay & Display ticket parking bays located in the UniCentre Carpark, South-Western Carpark and the Western Carpark. Tickets must be displayed. (Note: vehicles must be parked within signposted ticket bays only. If vehicles exceed the expiry time shown on the ticket, they may be issued with a penalty notice).
- After 4pm Only - Northern Carpark 2P Ticket Bays are available. Ticket machine becomes active at 4pm. Purchase ticket and park in any bay.

| Ticket Parking - Warning to Drivers |
A fine may be issued for vehicles:
- Not parked in accordance with signs and posted conditions.
- Exceeding the expiry time shown on any ticket.
- Displaying an expired ticket.
- Not displaying a valid machine dispensed ticket.
- Exceeding any posted time restrictions, e.g. 1P.
