Ian Farrell

BMath (UOW), LLB (UOW), Grad Dip Leg Prac (UTS), LLM (Harv), MA - Philosophy (Texas)

Ian Farrell completed his undergraduate degree and law degree at the University of Wollongong before receiving a Fulbright Award to attend Harvard Law School, where he completed his LL.M. After working as a Judge's Associate on the Massachusetts Appeals Court, he entered the Law and Philosophy Program at the University of Texas.

Research Areas
Jurisprudence; constitutional law; comparative constitutional law; rights theory; moral and political philosophy; death penalty.

Professional Activities
While in the United States, Ian worked with several organisations appealing death penalty convictions, as well as two clinics providing legal services to victims of domestic violence.
