Research Funding

The Faculty of Law administers funding for staff members and postgraduate research students to assist their research work.

These funds are separate from research funds allocated by the University of Wollongong to University Research Strengths associated with the Faculty of Law, i.e.: the Institute the Conservation Biology and Law (ICB) and Oceans and Transnational Security (OTS -- comprising the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS) and the Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention (CTCP)). The Research Strength funds are administered directly by ICB and OTS, not by the Faculty of Law.

Research funds administered by the Faculty of Law come from three sources: the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research); the New South Wales Law Society - Public Purpose Fund; and the Dean of Law through the Faculty of Law internal budget. These are administered as two groups of funds, each with different purposes:

Faculty of Law Research Fund, and
Legal Scholarship Support Scheme
