Fees

There are two payments to be made for the Professional Legal Training Course:

• An initial payment of $300 at the time you submit your application to enrol in the Course. This is payable to the Faculty of Law for the course materials which the Faculty will provide to each student in the Course. This fee is not refundable if an applicant subsequently decides not to enrol in the Course.
• The 2011 tuition fee for a student completing all subjects in the Course, payable to the University of Wollongong, is $6,500 for domestic students.

The GDLP is not HECS funded. However, the FEE-HELP system, introduced by the Commonwealth Government, will provide loans to domestic fee-paying students enrolled in postgraduate non-research courses. Eligible students will be able to borrow up to the limit of the tuition fee for each semester for the duration of their postgraduate course. The repayment arrangements are similar to HECS. Once your application to enrol is approved, you will receive an offer from the University (UniAdvice) to enrol in the Course. Acceptance of the offer must be made before the Course commences. Tuition fees are payable by students (or a FEE-HELP application lodged) at the time of accepting the offer to enrol. 

The 2011 tuition fee is allocated to each subject as follows:

LLB 843 Professional Practice (8cp) - $1083*
LLB 844 Practice Management (8cp) - $1083*
LLB 845 Conducting Litigation (16cp) - $2167*
LLB 846 Commercial and Property Practice (16 cp) - $2167*
