About UsThe Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) is the award of the University of Wollongong for students who successfully complete the Professional Legal Training (PLT) Course. The PLT Course is accredited by the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB) as a qualification for law graduates who wish to apply for admission as legal practitioners in New South Wales. Our Course is designed to:
The UOW GDLP was the first PLT Course in Australia to offer recognition of prior skills training and professional experience and to offer flexible delivery combining on-campus and off-campus training. We have extended our flexible delivery by incorporating a powerful online program which gives students access to Course resources, materials and communication tools. Importantly, it allows them to submit their assignments online, from any computer. So, more than ever, our PLT Course offers flexibility for students with employment, family and financial responsibilities. The Faculty of Law and the Legal Practice Unit enjoy a reputation for quality in teaching and research, a high level of student satisfaction and excellent graduate outcomes. We invite you to visit our website to learn more about our course, the people who deliver our program, and the benefits of completing your PLT at the University of Wollongong.
