NSW Young Lawyers is an active and innovative organisation that supports the aims and interests of young and new legal practitioners across the state, as well as law students.
NSW Young Lawyers provides an excellent means of maintaining social, educational and career contacts that will remain with you throughout your legal career.
It’s also a great opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the profession, be involved in a meaningful forum for change, sharpen your knowledge and have fun along the way.

As a law student you are automatically a member of NSW Young Lawyers and you remain a member for the first five years of practice and/or until you reach the age of 36. There are no joining or memberships fees.
There are many ways to get involved in NSW Young Lawyers, depending on your interests, commitments and personal circumstances. |

Young Lawyers Committees

Most Young Lawyers projects are initiated, developed and brought to fruition by committees of dedicated volunteers.
There are 14 committees in total, each dedicated to a particular area of law or subject. Some examples include animal law, civil litigation, family law, human rights and criminal law.
