Come to the Annual ALSA Conference!
Normally you may have no reason to visit Tasmania... but now you do! It's the 30th Annual Law Students' Association Conference. The conference brings together over 400 law students from across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific to compete in national finals for numerous competitions, to attend a variety of educational forums and to network at a number of social events and day excursions.
More broadly, the conference helps fulfill the above aims by drawing not only the elected members of each law school student society, but by inviting all students to attend. The conference also hosts the AGM of ALSA, and is regarded as one of the most fun and exciting weeks of a law students university career! Academic Members (ie LLB and PLT students who like the LSS) are eligible to register.
Check out the You Tube video of the UTas kids in their amusing promo video for conference with their song "Dubious Precent; Law School of my Heart" (Be careful because it will count towards your uni web quota if you are on campus).
If you are interested in attending, check out the ALSA Conference Website.
