The Faculty of Law and University of Wollongong
|
The Law Faculty provides a dynamic environment for staff and visiting experts in the area of transnational crime prevention and investigation. The Faculty is of moderate size by law school standards but has a critical mass of highly qualified lawyers with both academic and professional experience. It has strengths in those areas of substantive law relevant to the research and coursework programs, including criminal, international and information technology laws. The Faculty also has established links into the Asian and Pacific region through its Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security and the Centre for Comparative Law and Development Studies in Asia and the Pacific. The multi disciplinary character of the Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention is reflected in the broad range of expertise linked with the program both from within, and outside, the University of Wollongong. Relevant expertise on campus in politics, accountancy and finance, and information technology is supplemented by visiting experts. |
