Gabriel GarciaGabriel Garcia Gabriel has been a research assistant and is currently enrolled in a PhD program. He is working on a project that explores the consequences of market reforms sponsored by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the legal systems of developing countries through a comparative study of the Venezuelan and Malaysian legal banking systems. In Venezuela , Gabriel worked for the Economic and Social Development Bank of Venezuela in which he held the position of General Counsel. His research interests include law and development in Latin America and Southeast Asia , multilateral financial institutions and banking regulations.
