Faculty of Law Alumni Function

On Wednesday 11 November, 2009 the Faculty of Law together with Deacons hosted a function for its alumni. Held at Deacons Sydney Office, the event was well attended by over 60 of the University of Wollongong Law Alumni and staff of the Faculty. The location was convenient for the many alumni now working in Sydney, who took the opportunity to catch up with former teachers and friends from their university days. In addition, alumni working as far away as Canberra and Tokyo who happened to be in Sydney that night were also able to attend. The Dean of the Law Faculty, Professor Luke McNamara, acknowledged the achievements of so many successful alumni who have proved the value of an LLB from Wollongong as a pathway to promising careers. Professor McNamara thanked Ashley Tsacalos, a UOW alumnus and partner at Deacons, as well as the University’s Alumni Association for helping to make the night a memorable one for all who attended.
