This project critically examines the rule of law in Asia from a comparative perspective. It also evaluates the intersection of legal traditions, political systems, socio-economic institutions and other values such as Asian values, reform, development, religion and neo-liberalism in countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Philippines.
