Interquartz telephone function codes

Telephone Functions Explained....

For information on telephone usage: Dial 4488

Note: The following commands apply to the basic handpiece, and do not necessarily apply to the Meridian handpieces.

  • Transfer a Call
    1. Press the "pbx recall" button and wait for three short beeps
    2. Dial the extension number you wish to transfer to
    3. Wait for an answer and hangup
    4. If there is no answer (engaged etc) press the "pbx recall" button to return to the original caller.

  • Forward a Call
    1. Lift the handpiece
    2. Press the "call fwd all" button or press "*1"
    3. Dial the extension number to which your calls will forward
    4. Hang up

  • Cancel call forward
    1. Lift the handpiece
    2. Press "call fwd all" twice or "#1" and hang up.

  • Call on Hold
    1. Press the "pbx recall" button and wait for three short beeps
    2. Press the "#4" and hang up
    3. Your phone will ring periodically to remind you of the held call
    4. To retrieve the call, lift the handpiece.

  • System Speed Call
    To use a number from the speed dial listing:
    1. Lift the handpiece
    2. Dial the speed dial number only, eg 6900

  • Call Park
    This is a function that allows you to put a call on hold and at the same time, make another call from your handpiece
    1. Press the "pbx recall" button and wait for three beeps
    2. Press the "call park" button or "*3" and hang up
    3. Yo have now "parked" the call, which leaves you free to make another phone call.

  • Retrieve a Parked Call
    1. Lift the handpiece
    2. press "call park" twice or "#3" and dial the ext. number of where the call was parked, you are now connected.
    Note: You can retrieve a parked call from any phone on campus

  • Ring Again
    If you call an extension that is engaged, "ring again" will notify you when that extension is free. When calling a number and you have found the ext. is busy, do the following:
    1. Press the "pbx recall" button and wait for three beeps
    2. Press "ring again" or "2"
    3. Hang up
    Your phone will ring when the extension becomes free. Lift the handpiece and the ext will be dialed automatically.

  • Cancel Ring again
    1. Lift the handpiece
    2. Press "ring again" twice or "#2" and hang up.
