Common telephone faults and their remedies
Here are some common faults and their remedies. It is recommended that you check this table before submitting the Telephone Faults form.

a) On Interquartze phones, lift handset, press #1 (to cancel any call forward) and replace handset. b) On Meridian phones "Forward" key icon (arrow) will be showing. |

Callers cannot hear you |

Release MUTE key |

When calling getting wrong numbers |
Faulty keypay, keypad numbers sticking. |
Rapidly press number keys up and down to release sticking key. |
If the above remedial actions do not help and the condition persists all enquires should be made through the ITS Call Centre (ext: 3775) or e-mailed to: its@uow.edu.au
Note: Your Meridian phone will be disabled by the PABX while conducting its 'midnight routines', if you inadvertantly leave your set unplugged from its wall socket. The service can only re re-enabled by ITS technical staff - you will need to contact ITS on ext 3775 or email its@uow.edu.au
