Student Central Computer Laboratories

Eight student computer laboratories located on Level 1 of Building 17 - These provide students with access to email, web, applications software, and several laser printers.

In addition to these services, the teaching laboratories contain special purpose software for tutorials run by individual departments. When there are no tutorials in progress the teaching laboratories may be used by any UOW student (please check the tutorial timetable posted outside each lab).

We endeavour to make the laboratories as student friendly as possible. The Laboratory Rules [pdf] are designed to create a suitable study environment for everyone.

A comments box is provided at the front entrance of the centre. Please feel free to make comments about our existing services or to suggest future improvements.

IT Assistance in the Labs

IT Service Centre staff are always willing to give you assistance with laboratory equipment and software, information about training courses, using Email, and eLearning.

Students can access support via the IT Service Centre (1st floor, Building 17)
or by calling 4239 2000.

In order to help students who do not have a lot of experience using computers, there are Roving Helpers in the labs during Autumn and Spring sessions.
Roving Helpers are identifiable by the blue vests they wear.
