UOW User Account
All members of the University community have access to a UOW User Account. This gives you access to the various IT services available as well as your personal information stored in your "UOW Account Profile". Services include email, SOLS mail for students and the intranet for staff. Your UOW User Account also allows you to login and change or reset your password, check your internet quota and access the UOW wireless network.

|Managing your Password|| |
Manage your password anytime / anywhere using the UOW self-service password management tools. The tools are simple and easy to use and allow you to manage your password without needing to contact anyone. To use the service simply setup your UOW account security profile so that you can reset your password online should you ever forget or need to reset an expired password.
If your password has expired or you have forgotten your password and you have not setup your UOW user account security profile for access to the self-service tools you will need to make a request in person at an authorised centre to have your password reset - you will need to bring your identification card with you.

Your Internet Quota
|Managing your Internet Quota||Internet access is available to all holders of an active UOW account and is accessible at all of our campuses. For students, a quota system is in place to allow the efficient management of internet use.|
|Is YouTube on-net or off-net?|| |
Whilst the YouTube interface is on-net, the video content that is downloaded can be on-net or off-net depending on the site it comes from. With a limited amount of internet quota, it is best to moderate your usage of YouTube and assume the content is off-net.
