Overview

The University encourages the use of the internet including email and web services to facilitate communication among UOW users and the external community and greater efficiency in teaching, research, administrative and service functions.  

Access to the internet is available across all campuses and a quota system is in place for students to allow the efficient management of internet use.

Internet quota limits are imposed on all undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students.
Features
  • The University uses a high speed (1GB per sec) optic fibre connection to AARNet with redundant infrastructure for high availability.
RequirementsA computer, laptop or other handheld device capable of connecting to the internet.
Getting StartedTo access the UOW network you will need an UOW user account and password.
Notes
  • No Internet Quota is imposed for Postgraduate research students.
  • Internet Quota for undergraduates is granted on a six monthly allocation at the beginning of each year and is reset midyear.
