EZproxy

EZproxy

Overview

EZproxy provides members of the University of Wollongong community remote access to web-based, licensed content (data bases, journals, etc.) offered by the University of Wollongong Library. While many of these resources are broadly available to the UOW community, access to some may be limited to certain groups or to those physically on campus. EZproxy software is used to help manage these varying access requirements for restricted resources.

Available to Students, Faculty, Researchers, Staff, Alumni, Guests
Benefits EZproxy ensures that students and staff have easy access to all the licensed library resources available, independent of your current location.
Features
  • Easy access to extensive, academic resources – hundreds of databases and thousands of journals – electronic textbooks, newspapers, and much more
  • Easy to use – The resources are already linked to EZproxy.  Just log in using your student SOLS or staff username and your password when prompted. You will need to ensure that your browser is enabled to accept third party cookies.
  • No impact on your download quota – Using EZproxy to access e-Books or journal articles ensures that these do not count towards your download quota.
Requirements
  • Most licensed databases and journals are accessible to all currently-registered University students and staff.
  • A number of resources are available to people who are physically on campus or are registered as alumni of the University.
