Abstract: As the development of the information era, the quantity of information increases much larger every year, and people find that it is more difficult to obtain valuable information and it is hard to find out the useful business information hiding in such large database. Data mining is a new technology to mine valuable information from large data set, and the association rules mining is one way to find out the relationship of the items in the data set. This paper talks about the design of popular algorithm Apriori which is used to find out the association rules. Using the bitmap can enhance the efficiency of search and improve the performance of the Apriori.
