CRYPT Seminar

Title: “Modelling Inter-organization Network Security”

Speaker: Robert Smart (University of Wollongong)

Day: Tuesday 18 March 2008
Location: Building 3. Common Staff Room
Time: 12.30-13.30

Abstract: “The talk will argue that, when networking is between separate organizations, as is now very common on the Internet, then the more important security issues arise from the fact that the communicating end-points have different objectives. This is in contrast to communication between different parts of one organization, where the problem is to avoid attacks from external entities. The talk will try to build models of the communicating legal entities, the meaning of the basic cryptographic technologies, and of the communication protocols.”
