School of Computer Science and Software Engineering
Welcome to the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering (SCSSE) – one of Australia's leading teaching and research centres for building, deploying and managing the latest computing technologies and business computing systems.
The School offers four majors for Bachelor of Computer Science: Digital Systems Security, Multimedia and Game Development, Enterprise Systems Development and Software Engineering. A new major, Mobile Computing, is being planned and may be available as early as Spring 2012. The School offers four majors for Master of Computer Science: Computer and Network Security, Intelligent Systems, Multimedia Information Processing and Software Engineering. The School also offers a range of double degrees and research degrees.

60-year anniversary of UOW

We recall the great achievement of the first port of Unix in 1970’s from Richard Miller, Ross Nealon and Juris Reinfelds who performed the first port of Unix outside Bell Labs.
