Faculty Grant Success

Feb 2010: Global Research Network Program (GRNP), funded by the Korea National Research Foundation 

A/Prof Minjie and Prof. Kwang Mong Sim from Gwanju Institute of Science and Technology, South Korea, jointly received a 3-year founding for the Global Research Network Program (GRNP), entitled “Relaxed-criteria concurrent SLA Negotiations for Bolstering Dynamic Provisioning of Personalized Cloud Resources”, was selected by the Korea National Research Foundation. This project supports researcher exchanges including research students between Multiagent Systems Laboratory at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Korea and Intelligent Systems Research Centre at University of Wollongong, Australia, in each year of the 3-year project period from August 1, 2009 to July 31, 2012, Total amount for each year is US$77,513.

Feb 2010: Enterprise Connect - Funding for Researchers in Business

Dr Ping Yu  and her partner are awarded $55,000 from Enterprise Connect - Funding for Researchers in Business. The partner organisation Simavita matches $50,000 for a research assist to work full time and the CI Yu to research part time on the partner organisation's project. Thereofore, the total cash input to UOW is $105,000 for a period of 10 months.
