Expanding our Reach
| The School of Electrical Computer and Telecommunications Engineering (SECTE) in the Faculty of Informatics at UOW is very pleased to announce that it will commence a new collaborative teaching program in an agreement with Tianjin Polytechnic University (TJPU). The program has recently gained formal approval from the Education Ministry of China, and it is expected to recruit students from 2013. The program will be operated in a similar model to that of Zhengzhou University (ZZU), enabling students from TJPU to transfer to UOW and complete their Bachelor of Engineering (Telecommunications) in SECTE. TJPU is a state-run comprehensive university in China with excellent reputation in teaching and research. | |
The program with TJPU is the second UOW operation in China formally approved by the Education Ministry of China, following on from the success of the Zhengzhou program. It is a significant achievement for SECTE and the Faculty of Informatics to gain this approval which is a testament to the excellent reputation that the Faculty’s Engineering programs hold nationally and internationally. The Faculty of Informatics looks forward to a strong and successful relationship with TJPU which will see the development of productive collaboration in both learning & teaching and research.
