This event is sponsored by the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI). AMSI allocates a travel allowance annually to each of its member universities (for list of members, please click here). Students or early career researchers from AMSI member universities without access to a suitable research grant may apply to their Head of Department or Head of Discipline for subsidy of travel, and accommodation (registeration is free) for MISG2008 out of the department travel allowance. In the event that an allowance is not made available, the student or early career researcher should contact the MISG director for further information. Students from NZ and other PRIMA countries (www.primath.org) are eligble for reimbursement of accommodation costs at MISG2008. We will book and pay for you at Sky Accommodation. Please email Maureen Edwards with your dates of arrival and departure and other details so she can book your Sky Accommodation. The New Zealand Mathematical Society is offering support to students who wish to attend MISG 2008. To be eligible students must be enrolled in a New Zealand University, and are expected to be a member of the New Zealand Mathematical Society. For more information please go to the New Zealand Mathematical Society page. MISG 2008 will subsidise the conference dinner for students attending, and will pay half of the cost of the dinner ticket.
