Symposium 2009

“Building leadership capacity for the development and sharing of mathematics learning resources across disciplines and universities”

The symposium is being hosted by the University of Wollongong and is funded as part of an Australian Learning and Teaching Council Leadership for Excellence in Teaching and Learning grant held by Associate Professor Anne Porter in the School of Mathematics and Applied Statistics. The Central Queensland University is a collaborative partner for this grant. The CQU team is headed by Mr Antony Dekkers.

Planned sessions will include:

    • Leadership,

    • Developing Video-based Resources and Tablet Technology,

    • Learning Designs - putting resources together,

    • Evaluation, Peer Review, Dissemination,

    • A variety of professional networking opportunities, and

    • How to become involved in the project.

Held on: Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th February, 2009

Registration: 8.30 am, Monday 16th February.

Location: University of Wollongong, Communications Building (Building 20, Wollongong, New South Wales. (map)

Conference Dinner: Monday 16th February. 6.30pm for a 7pm dinner.

Lagoon Seaside Restaurant, Stewart Park, Wollongong.

2 course dinner and drinks.

    $43 dollars payable to Sue at registration.
